Resolutions/Goals Update

The decorations are down, the bottles have been recycled, and even the fruit cake is gone (and who knows if the same one will be resurrected next Christmas). All that's left are the promises we made to ourselves to work hard to achieve our personal goals.

So, we're a few weeks into 2010, and outside of still having trouble starting with a "1" in the date, I'm doing ok with my goals. I've been writing about 1,000-1,200 words a week so far, which for me is a whirlwind of activity

But how are you guys doing? Are you changing things up already? Are you surpassing your expectations? Have you forgotten those Champagne-induced promises? Have you gotten that impromptu elopement annulled?

Care to share?

Nothing nearly as exciting as an impromptu elopement here! My life is crazy busy as well, but I've made progress with my writing. I had an exciting breakthrough moment yesterday & am nearing the end of the ms :)

Congratulations! I love hearing about that type of thing -- both the breakthrough moments and nearing the end of a manuscript.

Keep writing, Jemi!

Hmmm, I'm never anywhere near where I want to be with my goals, but hopefully that means I'm pushing myself--or that I'm just batshit crazy:)

Hey, that gives me an idea for a guest blog post: Caroline Gone Guano Loco!

My impression of you, Caroline, is that you're driven. You'll meet your goals.

Matt, celebrating your whirlwind with new confetti and bubbly!

Keep it up.

RL has kept me away from my writing, but so far it hasn't put a damper on the new year's writiing progress.

Thanks, Cat. And since this post, I've written another 1000+ on the WIP and discovered the blog of another person working in Antarctica near where my story takes place. I love when serendipity comes a'callin.

Continued best of luck with your 2010 writing progress, too!
